Harp Law Beginnings for Attorney Hadi Harp: A Success Story in the Los Angeles Incubator Consortium

Harp Law PC was launched by Attorney Hadi Harp in 2015 during his participation in the Los Angeles Incubator Consortium (LAIC)—a post-graduate program designed for attorneys who are committed to serving public needs while establishing new solo or small firm practices. As a member of the program’s inaugural 2015 cohort, Hadi built the foundation for his firm through mentorship, training, and hands-on public service work.

A Commitment to Public Service at the Core

From day one, LAIC emphasized a strong commitment to public interest work. Each participant entered the program with the understanding that pro bono and low bono legal services would be a central part of their practice. For Hadi, that commitment helped shape the early identity of Harp Law.

As part of his service, Hadi volunteered weekly at the Los Angeles Law Library, providing brief legal consultations to self-represented individuals who otherwise had no access to legal guidance. These interactions deepened his understanding of the everyday challenges people face in navigating the legal system.

One of the most meaningful matters Hadi handled during the program involved a cancer survivor who, during treatment, had been unable to manage his financial affairs. After beginning recovery, the client was left with unresolved tax issues and growing IRS debt. Hadi worked with him to submit an Offer in Compromise and a penalty abatement request, ultimately helping to resolve the matter and give the client a clean financial slate.

These experiences weren’t an add-on—they were foundational to the launch of Harp Law and remain a part of its ongoing mission.

Building the Foundation for Harp Law

LAIC also provided practical guidance for starting a law practice. Through workshops and mentorship, Hadi gained experience in essential areas like practice management, client development, legal technology, ethics, and marketing. This training gave him the tools to build a sustainable firm that balanced business goals with a service-oriented approach.

The program’s collaborative environment offered valuable peer support from fellow attorneys who were also building their own practices and working toward similar goals.

Harp Law Today

While still in the LAIC program, Hadi founded Harp Law, a practice focused on estate planning and business law. The firm serves clients throughout California and Michigan, guided by the same core principles that shaped its beginnings: technical excellence, integrity, and accessibility.

Hadi continues to contribute to the profession through ongoing pro bono work and mentorship.

Looking Back

The Los Angeles Incubator Consortium offered more than resources—it provided the structure, training, and values that helped launch Harp Law. For Hadi, it was a defining experience that helped shape a legal career focused not only on client service, but on community impact.
