Attorney Hadi Harp Volunteers at The State Bar of Michigan’s Face of Justice Program
On February 28, 2023, Attorney Hadi Harp volunteered with the State Bar of Michigan’s Face of Justice Program, an initiative that introduces high school students to the legal profession through in-person mentorship and exposure to real-world legal settings.
Held at various locations throughout the state, the program connects students with judges, attorneys, and legal professionals to help them better understand what it means to work in law—and what it takes to get there.
This particular event was held at the Advanced Technology Academy located in Dearborn, Michigan.
Real Conversations About Legal Careers
As part of the event, Hadi took part in “jet mentoring” sessions—short, direct conversations with students about the legal field, the law school experience, and the many paths attorneys can take in their careers.
He shared what his own journey has looked like, from law school to building a practice in business and estate planning, and answered questions from students about what it’s really like to work in law.
The goal wasn’t to give a speech—but to show up, answer questions honestly, and offer encouragement.
Creating Access and Representation in the Legal Field
One of the goals of the Face of Justice program is to increase representation in the legal profession by helping students from all backgrounds see law as a path that’s open to them.
Hadi’s participation reflects that mission. He believes in making legal knowledge more accessible, especially for young people who may not have lawyers or legal professionals in their families or communities.
A Continued Commitment to Community
Volunteering with programs like Face of Justice is one way Hadi continues to stay engaged with his community in Dearborn, Detroit, and Southeast Michigan. It’s also part of a larger commitment to mentoring, education, and service that’s been a core part of his work from the start.
