In the summer of 2022, Attorney Hadi Harp volunteered as a bar exam mentor through the Michigan Chapter of the National Arab American Bar Association (NAABA), supporting law students preparing for the July 2022 Michigan bar exam.
Through one-on-one conversations, Hadi provided practical advice and perspective—sharing strategies, answering questions, and helping students navigate the challenges of the final weeks of bar prep.
Helping Students Prepare for a Pivotal Moment
The bar exam is a major milestone in every attorney’s career—and preparing for it can be overwhelming. As someone who’s been through the process, Hadi offered students guidance on study planning, time management, and maintaining focus, especially during the high-pressure weeks leading up to the test.
A Commitment to Mentorship and Representation
NAABA’s mentorship program is part of its broader mission to support diversity, inclusion, and access within the legal field. For Hadi, participating in this program was a way to give back and help make the path into the profession more accessible for those coming next.
“Supporting the next generation of lawyers is one way we strengthen the legal community. Mentorship doesn’t just help students pass the bar—it helps them feel like they belong in this profession.”
— Hadi Harp
Giving Back Beyond the Practice
Whether through mentorship, community outreach, or pro bono service, Hadi continues to stay involved in efforts that strengthen the legal profession and serve the broader community across Detroit, Dearborn, Royal Oak, and Southeast Michigan.
